How to play 5 card stud
After all players have placed their ante in, the dealing starts. 5 Card Stud starts with the dealer providing every player two card. The first is a pocket card dealt face down and the second is open, face up. The initial player to bet is decided by the minimum open card. If there is a tie then suit is applied; spades tops hearts, next diamonds and lastly clubs. These general poker rules applied both in offline and online poker games.
This player has the choice to start the betting with a bet identical to double the ante. If the ante is $1 then the starting bet will be $2. If the initial player does not desire to start then they should fold and the chance to start moves to the player on their left. After the starting bet has been completed, the betting moves clockwise. The next player can moreover call the opener, raise by betting the lower betting limit, or fold.
The third card is dealt to every player as an open card (Third Street). The opener is decided by the player with the maximum up card hand. The rest of the openers are decided in this way. The player has the choice the check (pass), bet, or fold. All raises for the round will be set at the lower bet level.
At Fourth Street, one more card is dealt face-up. The high hand starts and all bets and raises are at the higher limit.
The last card, Fifth Street, is yet again dealt as an open card. All bets and raises are at the high limit. The winner is the player with the highest poker hand rankings.
